Connect your AI agent
Use Seoprama from Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Cursor or Codex.
Your agent connects to Seoprama in two parts:
- The MCP connection gives it Seoprama's tools: keyword research, Google results, competitors, backlinks, site audits, rank tracking, AI visibility, Search Console and your projects. Every agent below supports it.
- Skills are instructions for complete SEO workflows, such as an audit or keyword research, that end in a report saved to your project. They work in agents that support skill files.
The server address is the same everywhere:
https://app.seoprama.com/mcp
The first time your agent uses it, you sign in to Seoprama in your browser and approve the connection. You don't need to paste a password or key into your agent. Tools use the credits in your Seoprama workspace, and AI features use AI credits; see what uses credits.
Set up with a prompt
In Seoprama, open Agent setup in the sidebar and choose Copy setup prompt. Paste it into Claude Code, Codex or another agent that can run commands. It connects Seoprama, installs the skills, and tells you about any step you need to do yourself, such as approving the sign-in.
Pasted into ChatGPT or the Claude app, the prompt can't install anything, so it gives you the steps below instead.
Once you're connected, ask your agent to use SEO Coach to help you choose what to do next.
Claude (web and desktop app)
- Open Customize → Connectors.
- Select Add (or +), then Add custom connector.
- Name it
Seopramaand pastehttps://app.seoprama.com/mcpas the server URL. - Select Connect, sign in to Seoprama and approve the connection.
- Start a new chat, make sure Seoprama is turned on in the chat's tools menu, and run the connection check.
Claude's Free plan allows one custom connector; paid plans allow more. On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner may need to add the connector for the organisation first.
To add the skills as well, upload them under Customize → Skills. See Skills below.
Claude Code
The Seoprama plugin adds the MCP connection and all twelve skills in one install.
- Download seoprama-plugin.zip and unzip it somewhere it can stay, for example your home folder. You get a folder called
seoprama-plugin. - In Claude Code, add that folder as a plugin marketplace, using its path:
/plugin marketplace add ~/seoprama-plugin - Install the plugin and choose a scope (user scope makes it available in every project):
/plugin install seoprama@seoprama - If Claude Code asks, run
/reload-plugins. - Run
/mcp, select seoprama and sign in to Seoprama in your browser.
The skills appear as /seoprama:seo-coach, /seoprama:seo-audit and so on.
Only want the tools? Skip the plugin and add the MCP server directly, then run /mcp to sign in:
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user seoprama https://app.seoprama.com/mcp
ChatGPT
ChatGPT connects to Seoprama as a custom connection, which needs developer mode. Whether you can turn it on depends on your ChatGPT plan and, on a workspace plan, on your admin. ChatGPT gets the tools but not the skill files; you can still ask for any workflow in plain language.
- On chatgpt.com, open Settings and turn on Developer mode. Depending on your version it is under Security and login, or under Apps (or Connectors) → Advanced settings.
- Create a new app or connector (Create, or + then Create MCP App) with these details:
Field Value Name SeopramaServer URL https://app.seoprama.com/mcpAuthentication OAuth - Create it, sign in to Seoprama in the window that opens and approve the connection.
- Start a new chat, select Seoprama from the + or tools menu, and run the connection check.
Type the full address including https://. If ChatGPT asks for a client ID or secret, keep OAuth selected and use dynamic client registration if it offers it; you don't need your own credentials. The ChatGPT desktop app uses the connections you add on chatgpt.com.
Cursor
- Open Cursor Settings → Tools & MCP (called MCP or Tools & Integrations in some versions) and choose New MCP server. Cursor opens
mcp.json. - Add Seoprama:
{ "mcpServers": { "seoprama": { "url": "https://app.seoprama.com/mcp" } } } - Save, then select Connect (or Needs login) next to Seoprama and sign in.
Codex
In the Codex CLI, add the server and sign in:
codex mcp add seoprama --url https://app.seoprama.com/mcp
codex mcp login seoprama
In the Codex desktop app, open Settings → MCP servers → Add server, name it seoprama, choose Streamable HTTP and enter https://app.seoprama.com/mcp. Save, restart if asked, then select Authenticate and sign in. Codex connections are separate from ChatGPT on the web.
If Codex reports a missing issuer during sign-in, update Codex to the latest version, or use an API key.
Other agents
Any MCP client that supports remote servers over HTTP can connect with https://app.seoprama.com/mcp and sign in with OAuth. If a client can't sign in that way, use an API key.
Skills
The Claude Code plugin already includes the skills. For other agents, download seoprama-plugin.zip and unzip it. The skills are in seoprama-plugin/plugins/seoprama/skills, one folder per skill.
- Codex: copy the skill folders into
~/.codex/skills. - Claude Code without the plugin: copy them into
~/.claude/skills. - Claude app: compress a skill's folder into a zip file and upload it under Customize → Skills. Repeat for each skill you want. SEO Coach, SEO Audit and SEO Report are a good start; the workflow skills save their results through SEO Report.
- Other agents: use their own way of adding
SKILL.mdskills.
Each skill is described in the skills guide.
Check the connection
Send this in a new chat or session:
Use Seoprama to check my connection and list my projects. Don't run any research.
Your agent should show your account, credit balance and projects. An empty project list still means it worked. This check uses no credits. If the agent only describes how to connect, Seoprama isn't turned on in that chat yet, or it needs a new session to load the tools.
Update your skills
Tools update on their own: changes to Seoprama's server reach your agent when it reconnects or you start a new chat. Skill files you installed need updating when Seoprama improves them. In Seoprama, Agent setup has an update prompt you can paste into your agent, or update by hand:
- Claude Code plugin: download the latest seoprama-plugin.zip and unzip it over your
seoprama-pluginfolder. Then run/plugin marketplace update seoprama,/plugin update seoprama@seopramaand/reload-plugins. - Copied skills: replace each skill folder with the one from the latest download. Copy any personal edits across first.
- Claude app skills: upload the new version of each skill under Customize → Skills.
- ChatGPT: there are no skill files. If tools look out of date, open the Seoprama connection's details, choose Refresh, and start a new chat.
Disconnect an agent
In Seoprama, open Settings and choose Disconnect next to the agent under Connected agents. It has to sign in again before it can use Seoprama.
Stuck? Email support@seoprama.com with your agent, the step that failed and the error message. Never send passwords, API keys or sign-in codes.
