Keyword search volume tool price in INR: what each search really costs
What one keyword search costs in rupees, how many searches each pack buys, what GST adds, and what a small business really spends in a year.
- One keyword search in Seoprama uses 46 credits. At ₹549 pack rates that's about ₹8.71 + GST, or about ₹10.28 with 18% GST.
- The ₹99 + GST trial gives 700 credits, about 15 searches. It's once per account.
- Packs start at ₹549 + GST for 2,900 credits (about 63 searches). Bigger packs bring the price per search down.
- City-level volumes for Mumbai, Indore or Jaipur use about 90 credits a search, roughly ₹17 + GST.
- A small business doing about 80 searches a year fits inside one ₹999 + GST pack.
You want search volumes for a handful of keywords. Maybe you’re naming a product, planning a blog, or checking whether “saree shop near me” is worth a page. Every tool you find quotes a monthly plan in dollars, and you just want to know one thing: what does a search actually cost me, in rupees?
Here’s the straight answer for the keyword research tool in Seoprama, worked out per search, per pack and per year, with GST shown separately so there are no surprises at checkout.
If you’re still comparing whole SEO suites in rupees, start with how much an SEO tool costs in India. This post is narrower: the price of keyword search volume data, and nothing else.
What one keyword search costs in rupees
A standard keyword search in Seoprama uses 46 credits. That one search gives you a list of related keywords, each with search volume, cost per click, competition, a 0 to 100 difficulty score and search intent, plus a card showing who ranks on Google right now.
So the rupee price depends on what you paid for your credits. On the ₹549 pack you get 2,900 credits, which is about ₹0.19 a credit. Multiply by 46:
- ₹549 ÷ 2,900 × 46 = about ₹8.71 a search, before GST.
- With 18% GST added, that’s about ₹10.28 a search.

That’s the whole pricing model. You don’t pay a monthly fee for access. You pay for each search you run, and the app shows the credit cost before you run it.
The ₹549 pack works out at about 63 searches (2,900 ÷ 46 = 63, with a few credits left over). Credits never expire, so if you only use 20 this month, the other 43 wait for you.
Every rupee pack, and what a search costs on each
Bigger packs give you more credits per rupee. Here’s every pack worked out. Prices are before 18% GST, which is added at checkout.
| Pack | Credits | Searches it covers | Per search, before GST | Per search, with GST | You pay with GST |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| ₹99 trial | 700 | about 15 | about ₹6.51 | about ₹7.68 | ₹116.82 |
| ₹549 | 2,900 | about 63 | about ₹8.71 | about ₹10.28 | ₹647.82 |
| ₹999 | 5,300 | about 115 | about ₹8.67 | about ₹10.23 | ₹1,178.82 |
| ₹2,499 | 13,500 | about 293 | about ₹8.52 | about ₹10.05 | ₹2,948.82 |
| ₹4,999 | 28,500 | about 619 | about ₹8.07 | about ₹9.52 | ₹5,898.82 |

Two things stand out. The trial is the cheapest credit you’ll ever buy, but it’s once per account.
And the gap between the ₹549 and ₹4,999 packs is only about 64 paise a search before GST. So don’t buy a big pack to save money per search. Buy the pack that matches how much you’ll actually search in the next few months.
Buy credits once and spend them only when you run something. Bigger packs give more credits per dollar.
What the ₹99 trial actually gets you
The trial is ₹99 + GST for 700 credits, which is about 15 keyword searches. You pay by UPI or card, and you can use the credits on any tool, not only keyword research.
Fifteen searches is enough to do something real. Say you run a dental clinic in Pune and want to plan your service pages. A sensible use of the trial:
- Five searches on your main services: “root canal treatment”, “teeth whitening”, “dental implants”, “braces”, “dentist”.
- Five searches on the questions patients ask: “root canal cost”, “is teeth whitening safe”, and so on. Use the phrase match mode for these.
- Two or three searches on what’s near you: “dentist in Kothrud”, “dental clinic Baner”.
- Keep two or three spare for whatever surprised you in the first ten.
That’s a working keyword list for five or six pages, for ₹116.82 all in. If the data’s useful, buy a pack. If not, you’ve spent less than a pizza.
One honest limit: the trial includes normal credits only, not AI credits. So it doesn’t cover the AI feature that picks keywords from your website. Every standard keyword search mode works.
City-level search volume: when it’s worth twice the price
India-wide volume is often the wrong number for a local business. “Wedding photographer” has huge national demand. What a photographer in Indore needs is demand in Indore.
Seoprama lets you switch a search from the whole country to a state, city or region, such as Maharashtra, Mumbai or Indore. A city or region search uses about 90 credits instead of 46. At ₹549 pack rates that’s about ₹17 + GST, roughly ₹20 with GST.
My rule of thumb: run the country-level search first to build the list, then run city searches only for the 3 to 5 keywords you’ll build a page around. Paying double for every exploratory search wastes credits, and national data is fine for finding ideas.
If your business serves one city, the extra is worth it on your money keywords. A volume of 50 a month in your city tells you more than 5,000 across India.

What you get for each search
The price only makes sense next to what comes back. Each search can run in one of four modes:
- Broad ideas: related keywords around a seed term.
- Phrase match: keywords that contain your phrase, good for “cost”, “near me” and question variations.
- Category ideas: keywords from the same topic, even when the words differ.
- People also search for: what searchers look up next.
For each keyword you see search volume, CPC, competition, the 0 to 100 difficulty score and search intent. The SERP card shows who ranks now, so you can tell in seconds whether page one is small local sites or national brands.
You can filter by intent, include or exclude words, and choose how many results to pull. Save keywords with tags and export to Google Sheets, CSV or Excel. The volumes, difficulty and CPC come from DataForSEO, a commercial SEO data provider that uses Google data.
46 credits a search. No daily report limits, no plan to keep paying for.
What a year of keyword research costs a small business
Most small businesses don’t search every day. They search a lot when they launch or redo the website, then a few times a month after that.
Say you run a home decor shop in Jaipur and you’re launching an online store. You do 25 searches in the launch month, then about 5 a month for new product lines and blog ideas. You also check Jaipur-level volume for 6 keywords you want to rank for locally.

That’s 3,680 credits for the country searches plus 540 for the city ones, 4,220 credits in all. One ₹999 pack has 5,300, so the whole year’s keyword research costs ₹999 + GST (₹1,178.82), with 1,080 credits left over for a backlink lookup or a few weeks of rank tracking.
Your numbers will differ. The way to work them out is the same: count the searches you’d really run, multiply by 46 (or 90 for city searches), and pick the smallest pack that covers it. The package builder does this sum for you across every tool.
Should you buy a pack or a monthly plan?
Packs are the simplest option for keyword research alone. Pay once, use the credits whenever.
Monthly plans in India suit people who use several tools every month and want a fixed bill. They renew by UPI AutoPay or card, you can cancel any month, and all prices are + GST:
| Plan | Credits a month | Keyword searches if used only for this | Team members |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic, ₹1,499 | 7,500 | about 163 | 2 |
| Pro, ₹2,999 | 15,500 | about 336 | 3 |
| Agency, ₹9,999 | 55,000 | about 1,195 | 10 |
Per search, a plan isn’t cheaper than a pack. Basic works out at about ₹9.19 a search before GST, against about ₹8.71 on the ₹549 pack. What a plan buys you is a monthly top-up and extra team members.
My honest advice for a small business: start with packs. If you find yourself buying one every month, and also running rank tracking and audits, look at a plan then.
Indian keywords that eat extra searches
Search volume in India has a few quirks that can double your search count if you don’t plan for them.
Spelling variants. Bengaluru and Bangalore, Gurugram and Gurgaon, kurti and kurtis. People search all of them. Rather than running a separate search for each, run one broad search and look at the list. Most variants show up as rows with their own volumes, at no extra cost.
Hinglish and romanised Hindi. Shoppers type things like “sasta mobile cover” or “ghar ka khana delivery”. If your customers search this way, include one Hinglish seed in your plan. It often turns up terms with less competition than the English version.
“Near me” and city names. “Bakery near me” and “bakery in Lucknow” are different searches with different intent. Phrase match on your service word catches most of these in one go, so you don’t need a search for every locality.
Festival and seasonal demand. Volumes for “rakhi gifts” or “Diwali hampers” are an average across the year, so they hide a sharp peak. Read them as a sign of interest, and plan the page a couple of months before the season rather than chasing the number.
None of this needs a bigger pack. It needs a plan for your 15 or 63 searches before you start, so each one adds something new.
How this compares with dollar-priced keyword tools
Ahrefs and Semrush have bigger keyword databases and more metrics, and if you live inside one every day, a plan can be worth it. But you pay the full monthly price whether you run 5 searches or 500.
According to the plan comparison on seoprama.com, Ahrefs Lite is $129 a month, about ₹12,384, and includes 100 keyword searches among its other allowances. A hundred searches in Seoprama is 4,600 credits, which fits in one ₹999 + GST pack.
That isn’t a like-for-like comparison, because Ahrefs Lite includes rank tracking, audits and backlink data too. The point is narrower: if keyword volume is the main thing you need, paying per search in rupees costs a small fraction of a dollar plan, and the price doesn’t move when the dollar does.

Running your first search without wasting credits
A few habits keep your per-search cost honest.
Start broad, then narrow. One broad search on “kurti” gives you hundreds of related terms. Don’t run separate searches on each variation; filter the first result instead.
Use filters before you search again. Include or exclude words, filter by intent and set the result count. Filtering doesn’t cost extra. A new search does.
Save as you go. Tag keywords you like (“homepage”, “blog”, “Jaipur”) so you don’t search the same term twice next month.
Check the cost first. The app shows each search’s credit cost before you run it, so a city-level search never surprises you.
Export once you’re done. Push the list to Google Sheets or Excel and plan pages there.
Watch the short tour to see a search run, including the cost shown before you spend anything.
If you want to see real volumes for your own keywords today, the ₹99 + GST trial covers about 15 searches. Run them on the five pages you most want to rank, and you’ll know within ten minutes whether the keyword research tool is worth a pack.
About 21 keyword searches, or a few searches plus a backlink lookup and a week of rank tracking. No monthly plan, and credits never expire.
